The bottle

Real fat deserves a better bottle.

What your food touches matters as much as what's in it. People are right to ask what's leaching out of their packaging — so we obsessed over the bottle and the cap, not just the fat inside.

No BPA

One of the plasticizers people most want to avoid. Not in our bottle. Not in our cap.

No BPS

The common BPA substitute — we left that out too.

No phthalates

No softening chemicals in the bottle or closure.

No PFAS

No "forever chemicals" in the packaging.

#5 polypropylene, chosen on purpose

Our bottle and cap are #5 PP (polypropylene) — a food-grade material we picked for stability with hot, fatty foods, and one made without BPA, BPS, phthalates, or PFAS. The squeeze format is the whole point of GILD, so the packaging had to be as considered as the blend.

Starts when you squeeze. Stops when you stop.

The cap seals with an airtight silicone valve. Squeeze, and the ribbon lays down exactly where you aim it; stop, and the valve shuts — instantly, cleanly, no drip down the side, no run-on in the pan. Between cooks it keeps the bottle sealed airtight on the counter. And it plays by the same rules as the rest of the package: no BPA, no BPS, no phthalates, no PFAS.

Worried about what's in your plastic? So are we.

We can't pretend any package is perfect, but we can be specific about what ours leaves out — and we'll keep upgrading our materials as better options become available. That's the deal: real fat, an honest label, and a bottle we're glad to put it in.
